Pedro Pascal will reportedly join the cast for Gladiator 2, reports Deadline.
The sequel comes 23 years after the release of Gladiator that had starred Russell Crowe as Maximus, a former general forced into becoming a gladiator.
The film grossed over $500 million worldwide and won five Academy Awards including Best Picture.

Pascal will join Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Barry Keoghan, Joseph Quinn and a returning Connie Nielsen for the Gladiator 2.
The film which is again being directed by Ridley Scott.
Gladiator 2 Filming
Production for the film will start around June and shooting will run for about four months.
Film Commissioner Johann Grech said on Wednesday the commission is working with Paramount Pictures Studio and executive producers to ensure the shooting plan works.
“Shooting is to start in the coming months and we are hoping to have more people join the industry at large.”
Paramount has set a November 2024 release for the epic.

Pascal was scene-stealing in his role in Game of Thrones, but his star has gone into orbit following The Last of Us and The Mandalorian.
But Pedro Pascal took to the red carpet in a black-and-red Valentino look: a vibrant, oversized red coat with a matching red poplin shirt, a black tie with a gold metal V, and very short black shorts.
