Rush Hour 4 could well be on the way, and we can’t wait.
The franchise is a popular action-comedy film series that includes three films…until now we hope!
The Rush Hour series is known for its blend of martial arts action, humour, and the chemistry between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
The films have pulled in over $850 million at the global box office.
Rush Hour 4
It has been 16 years since Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker last shared the screen as Lee and Carter, reports Screen Rant.
Here they are!
Jackie Chan told audiences at the Red Sea International Film Festival in December 2022, that they are “talking about ‘Rush Hour 4’ right now,” while Tucker named “Rush Hour 4” as a project audiences can expect from him in the future, reports Slash Film.
As it is in VERY early stages a release date or any other information is sparse, but there seems to be a definite push to get the movie made.
Rush Hour background – spoilers alert
“Rush Hour” (1998): Directed by Brett Ratner, this film follows the story of Detective Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) from Hong Kong, who teams up with Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) from the LAPD to rescue the Chinese Consul’s kidnapped daughter. The movie blends martial arts action with comedic elements.
“Rush Hour 2” (2001): Also directed by Brett Ratner, this sequel sees Lee and Carter team up once again, this time to investigate a counterfeit money operation that leads them to Hong Kong. Like the first film, it features a mix of action and humor.
“Rush Hour 3” (2007): The third instalment in the series, once again directed by Brett Ratner, has Lee and Carter traveling to Paris to uncover a plot involving the Chinese Triads. The film continues the formula of action and comedy that made the previous two movies successful.
