Smile is based on a 2020 short film Laura Hasn’t Slept and stars Sosie Bacon as a therapist named Rose Cotter, who, after witnessing the suicide of a patient, goes through increasingly disturbing experiences.
The got moved from Paramount+ and made into a blockbuster hit on screen.
It grossed over $105M domestic and $217M-plus worldwide, reports Deadline.
The movie business classed it as one of the most profitable movies of 2022, earning $217 million globally on a $17 million budget.
It also launched filmmaker Parker Finn as a director to watch and he is involved in the new films, don’t panic!

The cast still still to be revealed, as is name, due to the strikes, but release date in booked in.

Paramount has set Oct. 18, 2024 for the next Smile movie.
The studio also set a date for the musical adaptation of Mean Girls, which will force its way onto the big screen on Jan. 12, 2024.
