Bob Marley: One Love is coming to your screens early next year.
It will be the first major adaptation for the iconic reggae star, as you would expect!
Bob Marley rose to the upper echelons of music history before his died at the age of 36, a tragic loss to the world.
It will also have a focus around the 1976 assassination attempt, which almost claimed his life.
The best news is they have the rights to the songs, which does tend to take the gloss of other biopics who don’t have the access.
Who plays the legend?
The man who got the dream job is Kingsley Ben-Adir.
The actor is currently shapeshifting in Marvel’s Secret Invasion
He was also seen in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie joined in with leads Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling and other stars like Dua Lipa, Michael Cena and Derry Girls’ Nicola Coughlin.
Family business?
Well, indeed it is son Ziggy Marley, wife Rita Marley and daughter Cedella Marley, are producers on the film.
Ziggy told Entertainment Weekly about filming the biopic. “I was very focused on making sure that we represented him right, and being given that responsibility to help Reinaldo was a very serious thing for me. We explored different elements of Bob that people don’t know, different emotions that he went through. I actually learned some stuff, too. As someone who was there in this time period, it brings back a lot of memories and things that were hidden inside of me before. It was a very emotional journey.”
