Watch: Tron 3 – Troubling news as fans wait for new film

Tron 3 was on its way to a screen near you, but there has been a huge issue, that will delay the release date.

What is it?

The “Tron” franchise is a science fiction series that began with the original film released in 1982. It has since expanded to include additional movies, television series, and other media.

What is the problem with Tron 3 ?

‘Tron 3’ Director has said that over 150 crew members have been laid off as the on-going strikes have shut down production.

Director Joachim Rønning said: “Today was supposed to be our first day of principal photography on ‘Tron: Ares’ (a movie subsequently about AI and what it means, and takes, to be human).

“Instead, we are shut down with over a hundred and fifty people laid off. It’s indefinite, which makes it exponentially harder for everyone.”

“The AMPTP, SAG-AFTRA and WGA need to speed up the negotiating process and not leave the table until it’s done.”

Tron previous films – Spoiler alert

Tron (1982): The original film directed by Steven Lisberger follows Kevin Flynn, a computer programmer who gets digitized into a virtual world called the Grid. Inside the Grid, he must navigate through various challenges and games while interacting with programs and fighting against the oppressive Master Control Program (MCP).

Tron: Legacy (2010): This is a sequel to the original film, set several decades later. It follows Kevin Flynn’s son, Sam Flynn, who enters the Grid to search for his missing father. Inside the Grid, Sam encounters a more advanced digital world and faces new challenges. The film features stunning visual effects and a notable soundtrack by Daft Punk.

Tron: Uprising (2012): This is an animated television series set between the events of the original “Tron” and “Tron: Legacy.” It explores the early days of the Grid and features characters struggling against the oppressive regime of Clu 2, who took control after Kevin Flynn’s disappearance.
