Footage from the eagerly anticipated GTA6 has been leaked online via TikTok just two days before the first trailer premieres.
The leaker, which has since been removed by Rockstar Games, showed footage of the downtown area of Vice City, which is rumoured to be part of the massive map.
It was also posted on the GTA6 Subreddit where it was also promptly removed by editor.
However, it has been ripped and is now doing the rounds on TikTok and Twitter/X.
GTA Footage Leaked
Rockstar Games announced Grand Theft Auto 6 will be unveiled in a trailer on 5 December at 1400 GMT.
However, it is still unknown when the game itself will be released, reports The BBC.
A seven-second TikTok video claiming to be a “first look at GTA 6” has gone viral, and unsubstantiated rumours reckon the leak comes via the son of a Rockstar developer.
“We initially planned to make no further comment, but think it is wiser to limit the spread of misinformation,” the site said. “There are rumours circulating about Rockstar Games taking down the video – we have yet to see evidence of this.
“The evidence to suggest the video has come from someone related to the employee in question is fairly convincing. Again, if this is true it’s extremely disappointing that this has occurred so close to the official reveal.
“It’s possible that the photo being used as evidence is not the son of the employee, or that the source of this leak is from a third-party attempting to pose as such.”
In-demand vehicles
On Nov 30th Rockstar Games wrote on X: ‘New GTA Online Update Coming This December Steal the most in-demand vehicles in action-packed Vehicle Robberies on behalf of a familiar face. Plus, new Drift Races, festive surprises, limited-time Rockstar Games 25th Anniversary in-game gear, and more.’
What to expect from the trailer
Cars are a big thing, of course.
One person commented on Reddit: “I know the game will take place in the modern era, but I really hope we’ll see classic/old-school cars as well, like in GTA 5.
“Something like a Chevrolet Bel Air or a Ford F-100 or basically anything from the 50s to the 80s. If 90% of the cars are going to be modern and electric, I will be pretty disappointed, not gonna lie.”
Also, location is key and fans will be dying to know where the game will be based. Liberty City, Vice City, and Los Santos, the previous game locations are household hames.
