Why the right never represent working class has been answered in a viral video by a Labour activist names Guy Matthews, which went viral in 2019, but seems more pertinent than ever.
Rwanda
It comes as the government’s plan to fly migrants to Rwanda was slammed in court, but they are still trying to find a way to continue with this plan.
“The judgement was unequivocal: there was a significant risk that applicants processed in Rwanda would not be properly assessed and they might be returned to their place of origin where there is a risk of persecution. Crucially, this meant the policy was unlawful not just according to international treaties but also in UK law,” reported City Am.
However, The Sunak is said to be under pressure to use emergency legislation to disapply the Human Rights Act and tell courts to ignore the European Convention on Human Rights in asylum cases.
Immigration minister Robert Jenrick is believed to be among those pushing the Rishi Sunak to make the extraordinary move.
As Sunak considers blocking human rights laws as part of the push, a Conservative Party source told the Guardian: “This would tear the party apart. Several cabinet ministers and the [moderate] One Nationers would not stand for it – the prime minister wouldn’t even get it through the Commons. Never mind that this wouldn’t placate the head-bangers on the right either.”
Why The Right Never Represent Working Class
So this battle against migrants, with the government focusing on this and not the cost of living crisis, failing health system etc etc simply a way to deflect from the real problems we face, trying to make people hate migrants more than the people destroying the country?
Labour Voices shared the video, going viral again, and wrote: ‘”If the working class is the working class, regardless of skin colour”. Labour member and activist Guy Matthews on how the right will never represent the working class.’
