The BBC Question Time Brexit special has been slammed by many and it on TV tonight.
Now the corporation has responded as the ‘all-Brexiter audience’ in an upcoming Question Time show, didn’t sit right with many.
Host Fiona Bruce announced the one-off show will mark the seventh anniversary of the EU referendum.
The special Brexit Question Time event will be filmed in Clacton-on-Sea in Essex.
Every district in Essex voted to leave the EU.
Last week Best for Britain tweeted: “To mark the anniversary of the referendum, #BBCQT has an all-Brexiter audience, for a ‘Special’. I don’t know how special it is to ignore Remain voters, people who didn’t vote, or young people and EU citizens who couldn’t vote. Pretty much what BBC has done for seven years.”

In response to the backlash, the corporation has now said: ‘It is seven years since the nation voted in favour of Brexit. Since then, polling organisations have found that the opinions of the public have shifted from being narrowly in favour of Brexit, to the majority believing we should re-join the EU.
‘In this context, the Question Time Brexit Special will explore the views of our audience and public attitudes towards Brexit, specifically from the Vote Leave perspective. From within those who voted to leave, there will be a range of views.’
‘We will explore how leave voters now feel about how Brexit is going, what they see as the successes and failures, and what, if anything, the government or opposition might do differently.
‘As always, the chair will host a robust debate between panellists and audience members. While the panel is yet to be confirmed, it will include both leavers and remainers. Question Time often hosts specials dedicated to discussing a particular topic that is at the top of news agenda, and has regularly heard the views of both sides of the Brexit debate over the years.’
It comes as only 18% of 2016 leave voters believe Brexit has been a success, according to polling for the thinktank UK in a Changing Europe – but 61% think it will turn out well in the end.
Also, cowardly ministers have been slammed after it was revealed no one will represent the Government tonight.
Carol Vorderman wrote: “This wk many Tory cowardly MPs abstained from the vote about Johnson & now they can’t even face the people they lied to!!
“The lowest bunch of gaslighting politicians in history.”
