So yesterday the Telegraph, of all people, said Brexit wasn’t just over, it is ‘finally dead.’
The article was titled: “Brexit is finally dead – and the Tory party will soon suffer the same fate.
“The ruling class are mistaken to think that we can simply return to the failed status quo.”
Tim Walker cheekily tweeted: “And quite probably the Telegraph which championed Brexit so fanatically.”
It comes as Guy Verhofstadt has claimed the suggestion that Brexit can be made to work is a “delusion” as he called for Britain and Brussels to rethink their relationship.
The MEP tweeted: “British politicians are far behind public opinion.
“Making Brexit work is a delusion. Time for pro-Europeans to put a roadmap for a different relationship on the table!”
His comments were made in response to reports of a cross-party meeting last week which looked at “making Brexit work better”.
Talk Tv
So on Talk Tv last night Richard Tice and Isabel Oakeshott, who were filling in for Piers Morgan, might have wished they turned the shift down.
Their guest, former deputy prime minister Michael Heseltine, and arch remainer, was on blistering from and destroyed the two Brexiters.
Every argument they threw at him, he snapped straight back, he even bust out laughing at one of their accusations.
