People attempting to travel to mainland Europe via Dover remain in long queues.
The wait have been in excess of 12 hours.
It comes as No 10 has admitted that “new processes” brought in after Brexit has contributed to several days of travel chaos at the Port of Dover.
Port authorities say the situation is now improving for new arrivals, but parents told of coachloads of children still waiting to cross the Channel after arriving late on Saturday, reports The BBC.
The Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) called for “crisis talks” with the government, the Kent port and ferry companies to “resolve this mess once and for all”.
Staycation
It was left to John Redwood (for it is he) to seek a way out of this mess…
He said: “Why not take a holiday break in the UK to avoid the delays into France? Plenty of great places to stay.”
