Now as he has made a very underwhelming announcement, back to that in a minute…

Announcement
So what is the Farage’s big new announcement?
Well, for one not many people were there to see it.
The promised “major announcement” from Reform UK turned out to be the return to the party fold of 11 MEPs who were in the Brexit party.
There had been speculation that Nigel Farage could be taking a bigger role.
But while he did speak to the gathering, Nigel Farage stressed that his role remained “honorary and advisory”, and that Richard Tice remained in charge.
Mr Farage, the honorary president of Reform UK, used a press conference this morning to criticise the record of successive Tory governments as he said EU regulations “have not been axed”, Northern Ireland has been “hived off” and “our borders are as open as they have literally ever been”.
He said: “Three and a half years on, Brexit has not been completed, we are still under the jurisdiction of a foreign court in Strasbourg, our borders are as open as they have literally ever been. We have a high tax, big state, low growth, low productivity society and our public services are fundamentally broken.”
Tice
In his own speech, Tice said he believed there was a big opening for his party over issues such as immigration and Rishi Sunak’s revised Northern Ireland post-Brexit deal.
He then introduced a series of former MEPs, among them Ann Widdecombe, Ben Habib and June Mummery.
So the worst band ever has got back together basically…
