Another scandal has surrounded the family of Captain Tom. His legacy seems to be further diminished by this new story.
Yesterday, his daughter Hannah confessed to taking money from the sale of her father’s books.
She said they kept £800,000 from three books he had written.
There were already questions abut the charity set up in his name; last June the Charity Commission launched an inquiry.

Ingram-Moore told Piers Morgan TalkTV: “These were my father’s books, and it was honestly such a joy for him to write them, but they were his books.
“He had an agent and they worked on that deal, and his wishes were that that money would sit in Club Nook, and in the end … ”
Morgan asked: “For you to keep?”, and she replied “Yes. Specifically.”

‘One day they’ll include Hannah Ingram-Moore in the pantheon of the great villains. Manipulating national unease while invoking the state’s twin religions of the Second World War and the NHS to make serious coin. It’s Emperor Palpatine-level stuff.’

‘Lovely sh*thousery from Hannah Ingram-Moore here in insisting that Sir Tom wanted them to keep his charity book profits. I imagine his final words were “Promise me one thing, please buy the 4 Person Relax COMBI FAR Infrared Indoor Sauna With Carbon Heaters & Traditional Stove.”‘
