The Gary Lineker fiasco is coming to a close as he has seen off all attacks.
It comes as the ex-England legend is soon to present his first Match of the Day since his row with BBC bosses over his condemnation of government policy and rhetoric on asylum-seekers, which seemed to create a Meghan and Harry sized storm in the MSM.
Co-host and Arsenal and England legend Ian Wright has said “heads have got to roll” after managers at the BBC caused a “hot mess” at the weekend by asking Lineker to step away from presenting Match Of The Day.
Gullis
Conservative MP Johnathan Gullis was the latest to have a go.
In response, Gary tweeted: “No he hasn’t and never would. This is outrageous and dangerously provocative.”
Anna Soubry also wrote: “And arguably defamatory?”

Then Jessica Elgot tweeted that the football legend has a new profile pic.
It’s the George Orwell quote at the BBC’s Broadcasting House, which is next to a statue of the great writer himself.
It comes from another work of genius by Cold War Steve, as you can see below.
