Has a Corbyn tweet to Gary Lineker settled the argument?

"And the man who comes out of this Gary Lineker furore with most credit is... Jeremy Corbyn," wrote one person.

As you will know the BBC is in the middle of an existential crisis after this tweet by Gary Lineker.

This was Gary Lineker’s Tweet, he didn’t call @Conservatives or any Conservative MP a Nazi. They appear to have ‘misread’ what Gary said or of course, they have defined themselves by their words and actions. #RefugeesWelcome#StopTheHate pic.twitter.com/2CTFqoQwqg

The internet never forgets, and there was a tweet by Gary Lineker back in 2017, where he wrote: “Bin Corbyn.”

Did Corbyn hold a grudge? It doesn’t seem so, as he tweeted: “Well done Gary. The plan and the Bill are disgusting!”

It was in response to a Lineker tweet that read: “I have never known such love and support in my life than I’m getting this morning (England World Cup goals aside, possibly). I want to thank each and every one of you. It means a lot. I’ll continue to try and speak up for those poor souls that have no voice. Cheers all.”

Well done Gary. The plan and the Bill are disgusting!

Hypocrisy

So where was the outrage from MSM when he said that about Corbyn? I don’t recall it.

To be fair to GBNews (yeh I know) they didn’t exist when he made that comment, but you get the general point?

1.

Weird that nobody on the right minded when Gary Lineker said "bin Corbyn"

Was that the kind of free speech they agree with?#GaryLineker #ToryFascists

When Alan Sugar tweeted an image depicting Jeremy Corbyn as a Nazi (or indeed, when Gary Lineker tweeted "Bin Corbyn" in 2017), that didn't precipitate an internal crisis for BBC over its impartiality. Why?

I am a BBC licence payer and I fully support Gary Lineker and the comments he made. No-one at the BBC complained when he did the Bin Corbyn tweet. BBC showing it's Tory bias yet again!

Matthew Syed probably didn't have a problem with Gary Lineker saying "Bin Corbyn", back in 2017.#Newsnight pic.twitter.com/yXyRXIw3wq
