A plea for financial support to get Tommy Robinson back in prison has gone viral. The campaign is being pushed by Hope not Hate.
Hope not Hate write: “Tommy Robinson has released a hateful documentary about Jamal containing all the lies that the judge ordered him not to repeat. Tommy had been told in no uncertain terms: repeat these lies, and go to prison.
“But now, defying this court ruling, Tommy’s trying to profit from Jamal’s pain again by releasing the documentary in the US to try and evade the UK’s courts. By breaking the injunction, Tommy faces two years in prison.”
“We need to raise £25,000 to support our legal team making a compelling submission to the Attorney General so she has all the evidence she needs to recommend that Tommy is prosecuted.
“No one else is going to do this – it is up to us.”
Tommy Robinson back in prison
Nick Lowles from hope not hate tweeted: “Hope not Hate has just handed in a 80-page dossier of evidence to the Attorney General, asking her to institute contempt proceedings against Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (also known as Tommy Robinson) following his flagrant and ongoing breach of an injunction served on him in July 2021.”
One person tweeted: “Tommy Robinson has defied an injunction and repeated lies he made about a Syrian schoolboy named Jamal. Tommy could face up to 2 years in prison.”
Nick has just tweeted: “Thanks to over 14,000 of you, we’ve delivered our open letter and dossier of evidence of Tommy Robinson’s lawbreaking to the Attorney General, calling on her to take ACTION. It’s now over to her to decide whether to start legal proceedings.”
