Kafkaesque: Raab denies bullying then writes threatening article

Deputy PM Dominic Raab has finally resigned after an official investigation into claims he bullied civil servants found he acted in an “intimidating” fashion and displayed “persistently aggressive conduct”.

In one case the former deputy prime minister made what “could have been understood as a threat” which had a “significant” adverse effect on the person affected, an independent probe found.

His departure sparked a mini-reshuffle of the Cabinet, with Oliver Dowden, the current Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, replacing him as deputy PM, and Alex Clark, a former junior minister for the Minstry of Defence, as justice secretary.

In an extraordinary move, he also took aim at the inquiry claiming he had been subjected to a “Kafkaesque saga” for which the British people would pay the price.

He went straight to the Daily Telegraph and wrote a comment piece with the title: “The people of Britain will pay the price for this Kafkaesque saga

“Bullying inquiry sets a precedent for officials to target ministers and will paralyse government, claims former deputy prime minister.”
