Today, Tory MP Lee Anderson was back in the press again and, again, he didn’t come off very well.
The newly appointed deputy Conservative Party chairman, hit the headlines yesterday when an interview emerged where he called for the return of death penalty.
Anderson said that “nobody has ever committed a crime after being executed” to justify his position.
Asked whether he would support the return of the death penalty, Anderson told The Spectator: “Yes.” He then added: “Nobody has ever committed a crime after being executed. You know that, don’t you? 100 per cent success rate.”
BBC interview
Today Lee Anderson clashed with a BBC radio presenter over the video of him setting up a fake doorstep encounter with a friend during the 2019 election.
He insisted BBC radio presenter Verity Cowley played the interview in full after she asked him about it.
And it gets worse!
