Lee Anderson ridiculed twice (maybe a lot more we don’t know about yet) in December and it is only the 6th of the month.
Lee Anderson Ridiculed
First off the Tory deputy chair claimed he would move to Orkney if the UK ever votes to reverse Brexit.
As Alistair Carmichael pointed out: “If Lee Anderson wishes to move to Orkney then it might help if he learned the name.”
He said last week: “I know it’s a bit parky up there this time of year. But if people are genuinely escaping war or persecution then a nice Scottish island with a few outbuildings would be suitable.”
Orkney and Shetland MP Alistair Carmichael the added it was: “an exercise in corralling as many prejudices as possible into one space and calling it a policy”.
When asked if he thought the UK would rejoin the EU while he was still living on this piece of earth we called the UK, he said: “I hope not because if we do I’m moving to Orkney isles.”
It was suggested that Carmichael may object, the Tory MP said: “Well that’ll teach him, won’t it… I’m going to live in the Orkney Isles and stand for parliament in the Orkney Isles.”
Try Rwanda
Baron Prem Sikka, a member of the House of Lords, then suggested: “Why would he be welcomed? Should try Rwanda.”
Another X user said: “What have the lovely people of Orkney done to deserve this?
Batch cooking
Next up he man they dubbed “30p Lee” has some more cooking tips for the poor (that’s most of us these days).
He shared a video of a group of people managing to cook “172 meals with 50 quid’s worth of ingredients from the local Aldi” and seemingly suggested struggling families could do the same.
Last years 30p Lee Anderson claimed: “I think you’ll see first-hand that there’s not this massive use for food banks in this country. We’ve got generation after generation who cannot cook properly, they can’t cook a meal from scratch, they cannot budget.”
So the point is it CAN be done but so that doesn’t mean it is a realistic plan.
