As we all know the Liz Truss Lettuce prank was truly epic.
The Daily Star set a lettuce against Liz Truss’s time in power.
The lettuce won, and had a party to celebrate!
The shortest ever serving PM slammed it as not “particularly funny” and “puerile”.
She criticised the Daily Star’s stunt, which involved dressing up a lettuce in a blonde wig and playing out coverage to millions of people.
Froth
Lix then called out some elements of the media as “froth” and also said that comparisons between her style with Margaret Thatcher’s is “lazy thinking”.
A, It’s the Daily Star! and…
B, you have been pictured in loads of VERY similar poses as the late PM.
She said female politicians are often compared to one another because “there aren’t that many of us”.
It is not like she was compared to Angela Rayner?
“I just think, frankly, it’s lazy thinking on people’s part. It’s not something I have ever consciously sought to do at all,” Truss said.
Liz Truss Lettuce
So how did the Daily Star respond? Well, they have labelled her: “fun sponge Liz.”
