How did you spend your ‘day off’ due to strike action in London?
My guess is you worked without using the rail network to get to your place of exploitation?
Annoying? Well, yes that is the point of strikes.
Nurses, railway staff, postal workers, G4S employees, London bus drivers, Eurostar security personnel, Border Force agents, Heathrow baggage handlers, Scottish teachers, driving examiners and National Highway Workers have all walked out in recent weeks.
Opinion on strike action is always divided, and one person who certainly wasn’t happy about the lack of people traipsing around the capital was one Isabel Oakeshott.
Deserted
Perhaps she didn’t know there was a strike on, but a journalist of her calibre wouldn’t miss that…
She tweeted: “First working day after the holidays and london is deserted. A nation cannot thrive on the basis of people sitting on their backsides waiting for state handouts and eating Deliveroo.”

As you can see this went down as well as three week old milk…
