Piers Morgan had quite the argument with two Just Stop Oil representatives on his TalkTV show,
Over the past week, eco-protesters have once again hit the headlines, after one blasted orange powder over a World Snooker Championship match, while animal rights activists did their best to stop Saturday’s Grand National going ahead.
Argument
‘Is this what passes in journalism when you’re not hacking into murdered childrens’ phones?’ one asked, referring to News of the World’s 2011 phone-hacking scandal.
Morgan replied: ‘So unfortunately you’ve just committed a very serious libel because that was another newspaper which if you were slightly more intelligent and well-informed, you’d know that allegation – which is made against me most days on Twitter by idiots like you is actually a disgusting lie.’
As someone tweeted Morgan wasn’t part of that, but he was “He is mixing it up with the fake photo’s of prisoners of war being urinated on.”
Slur
He then shouted over Piers Morgan, saying: ’33million people were displaced last year, 60 UK families lost their houses in wild fires as a result of 25,000 wild fires when we hit 40 degrees.
‘And you’re not emotionally connecting with the reality of this are you? Because you’re a multi-millionaire, you don’t care, you don’t care about the British people, you don’t care about the working class, you care about the rich.’
He then added: ‘You’re calling me a silly little boy are you? You pathetic, gammony, man-baby.’
‘It’s no wonder no one watches this show honestly, is this the quality of it?’
Wow.
