Boris Johnsons number one fan Former culture secretary Nadine Dorries has put out quite the statement, saying ‘Back Liz, bring back Boris or face a general election in weeks.’
The ex-staunch PM’s ally took to Twitter ahead of chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s shocking statement on Monday morning.
Hunt announced that the UK’s energy bill freeze will be limited to April only, and he scrapped the majority of Liz Truss’ mini-Budget.
This comes amid reports that Conservative MPs are plotting to depose Liz Truss as Prime Minister and install a new leader, with some speculating on a joint ticket of Sajid Javid and Penny Mordaunt.

No one has enough support.
Only one MP has a mandate from party members and from the British public – a mandate with an 80 seat majority.@BorisJohnson
The choices are simple – back Liz, if not bring back Boris or face a GE within weeks.
As you can imagine, it has brought quite the reaction. Check some out below:

Tell that to everyone who could not be with a dying loved one while Johnson partied in Downing Street. Tell that to all the tens of thousands who died thanks to Johnson’s murderous dither. @NadineDorries @CovidJusticeUK #GeneralElectionNow https://t.co/WNB8uKVr6t
