Gary Lineker in trouble with BBC over refugee remark

Gary lineker has been very outspoken against the Tory government, and it has annoyed the Tories, the Daily Mail and his employers the BBC.

He shared this video and wrote: “Good heavens, this is beyond awful.”

It comes as Rishi Sunak’s plan to stop small-boat crossings breaks international law, UN has said.

In a statement issued on Tuesday afternoon, the UNHCR said such legislation would “amount to an asylum ban … no matter how genuine and compelling” individual cases may be.

No mention of Nazi’s or Fascism.

And factually, the rhetoric of “invasion” and demonising asylum seekers is very much the language of the 1930s in Germany (and Italy).

They are upset because @GaryLineker reaches a wide demographic.
