Ann Widdecombe, for reasons we can never understand, still gets invited to discuss politics on national TV.
As you can see people wonder why she was on BBC’s Politics Live.
However, it was her appearance on Jeremy Vine’s show that is truly epic
Vine
The ever brilliant Marina Purkiss was on the Channel 5 show along side Ann.
They were looking at video games, for a section about wether pensioners should be playing more computer games.
Marina then dived in and said she used to like the computer game called Grand Theft Auto, “It tells you how to prosper in a criminal world…like being in the Tory party. You’d love it!”
Ann did not like the joke, was it even a joke though?!

Politics Live
Sorry, just a quick return to Widdecombe on BBC politics live, Ann said: “Can we please get over this idea that the NHS is free to all at the point of reception – it’s not.”
Linden replied: “When did you last pay for NHS services?”
Widdecombe said: “A very long time ago. You have to pay prescription charges.”
Linden then highlighted: “Not in Scotland you don’t.”
Widdecombe then said: “Let’s put aside Scotland for a minute and let’s have a grown-up debate.”
