Documentarian Abby Martin appeared on the talk show Piers Morgan Uncensored, where she said that the fact that people are debating whether Israel is committing genocidal acts shows that what they are doing is “egregious enough” to make the case.
Abby Martin shared the clip and wrote: “I make the case for how Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and why they must be stopped immediately on my debate with Piers Morgan.”
She says: “Clearly the complete siege on Gaza, the elimination or the prevention rather of water, food, electricity, the prevention of aid, widespread preventable illnesses, killing people.
“Now we see two million people on the brink of starvation. Clearly these are all intended to destroy a group of people.
“When you compound that with the indiscriminate bombing in the most densely populated places on Earth, I would absolutely constitute that as genocidal killing.”
In response, one X account wrote: “What is happening in Gaza is Genocide summed up perfectly in 2 minutes while a stunned Piers Morgan sits in silence.”
Gaza
This week, aid workers described the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as the “stuff of nightmares” as the Israel-imposed siege on the territory entered its eighth straight week.
Oxfam said that around 70% of the Gaza Strip is under displacement orders or “no go” zones, affecting more than 500,000 people.
According to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, at least 51,305 Palestinians have been confirmed killed and 117,096 wounded in Israel’s war on the Strip since it began 18 months ago.
Bombing
As the Israeli military continues to bomb the besieged Gaza Strip to devastating effect, Israel’s foreign minister said once again that his country is merely defending itself.
“We know, and the whole world knows (even if it does not draw necessary conclusions), that many around us today seek our elimination,” Gideon Saar told foreign diplomats in Tel Aviv at a Holocaust remembrance ceremony.
“It is not that they are only dreaming of it. They are planning it. They are taking action to execute it,” he claimed.
