Rishi Sunak has been accused of a ‘new con’ against teachers and their pursuit of a pay rise they deem acceptable.
A new film by Peter Stefanovic has slammed the PMs plans.
It comes as teachers in England will strike over pay again on two dates in July, reports The BBC.
National strikes are scheduled for 5 and 7 July. Many schools are likely to fully or partially close, the NEU (National Education Union) has said.
The teaching union is calling for negotiations with the government to start again and says strike action is a “last resort”.
In response, the (DoE) Department for Education said further strike action would cause “real damage” to pupil learning.
The government has offered a 4.3% pay rise for most teachers for 2023-24 with starting salaries reaching £30,000.
Sunak teachers
Peter shared the video and wrote: “Rishi Sunak is preparing his Government’s latest shameless CON – this time against our teachers. Watch this in disbelief & if you share my anger RT it widely. If UK news shows can’t get the job done let’s damn well do it ourselves!”
