Elon Musk is no stranger to controversy, but activists in London have taken their criticism to the streets—literally. A series of fake Tesla posters have popped up at bus stops, mocking the billionaire’s recent far-right connections.
Taking Aim at Musk’s Politics
Musk has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. He’s backed Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, made a Nazi-style salute on Trump’s inauguration day, and publicly supported Germany’s far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.
The AfD just secured their best-ever election results, doubling their vote share. Musk congratulated them.
Meanwhile, he’s also waded into UK politics, fuelling conspiracy theories about grooming gangs and calling Labour MP Jess Phillips a “rape genocide apologist.” He even suggested that Keir Starmer’s government should be overthrown.
The London Poster Campaign
A group called Everyone Hates Elon Musk decided to fight back. They plastered satirical posters across London, highlighting Musk’s ties to the far right.
One features a photo of Musk’s salute, branding Tesla as the “Swasticar” with the tagline: “0 to 1939 in 3 seconds.”
Sharing footage of their work, the group wrote:
“Elon Musk just helped the far-right in Germany win their best result since WW2 then called them to say congrats. So don’t buy his f**ing cars, yeah?”*

Led By Donkeys Join In
This isn’t the first time Musk has been targeted. Activist group Led By Donkeys recently projected videos about his rise to power onto Tesla’s European HQ in Amsterdam.
They later beamed the words “Heil Tesla” onto the company’s Berlin factory, alongside an image of Musk’s salute.
Whether these actions will make a dent in Tesla’s sales remains to be seen. But one thing’s clear—Musk’s critics are getting louder.#
