A viral trend has been keeping people amused as images of JD Vance have been edited to make him look, well, more silly than he already does.
It comes as Jeremy Clarkson has slammed JD Vance who appeared to mock the UK and France’s military efforts. Writing in his Sunday Times column, the former Top Gear presenter called Vance a “twat”, also taking shots at Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Vladimir Putin.
Also, Nate Vance, the cousin of U.S. Vice President JD Vance and a volunteer fighting on Ukraine’s front lines, said he is “disappointed” in his relative’s stance on Ukraine.
Vance, a former U.S. Marine, defended Ukraine from 2022 to January 2025 as a member of the Da Vinci Wolves First Motorized Battalion, a volunteer unit.
“Being your family doesn’t mean I’m going to accept you killing my comrades,” Vance said in an interview with Le Figaro published on March 9.
Memes
Photos of Vance have been edited in all kinds of ways: he’s been bald, an emo rocker, a baby-faced child with a hat and lollipop, purple-faced like Violet Beauregarde from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a Despicable Meminion, and generally enlarging his face.
It began when he asked Zelensky: “Have you said thank you once?”
For the record, he has thanked the US numerous times.
But it was this pic that kicked off the hilarity.
“You have to say pwease and tank you, Mistow Zensky,” one user wrote, with a photo of Vance from the meeting, except his grinning face has been plumped up to make him look like a baby, which now had well over 13 million views.

Vance responds
Well, sort of…
Julio Rosas wrote on X: “Landed back at Joint Base Andrews with Vice President Vance. I can confirm VP Vance has seen many of the memes/edits of his pictures and thinks it’s a funny trend.”
He doesn’t seem to take a joke well on social media so we will treat this post with a modicum of suspicion.
