Another day, another set of Donald Trump calamities.
First off, Donald Trump complained that Nato would never help the US.
He said: “If the US was in trouble and we called them… do you think they’re gonna come and protect us? They are supposed to. I’m not so sure.”
A Factual Error & Missing Context on X read: “NATO’s Article 5 on collective defense has been invoked once in the alliance’s history by the United States in response to 9/11. At that time NATO had 18 members, all which supported the US in Afghanistan with their militaries.”
In response, Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey slammed President Trump’s remarks, describing them as “every bit as insulting as JD Vance’s comments earlier this week”.
Sir Ed added: “Trump looks increasingly like an unreliable ally, and the government urgently needs a plan B”.

Ukrainians
Next up, a reporter asked Trump if the rumours he is planning to revoke the TPS (Temporary Protective Status) status of Ukrainians in the US could happen.
Trump looked very confused and replied saying: “GPS.” You get the feeling he doesn’t know what TPS means.
Reuters reported had earlier that the Trump administration planned to revoke protections for roughly 240,000 Ukrainians who had fled to the United States following Russia’s 2022 invasion. The move would lay the groundwork for those individuals to be deported.
In January Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem suspended TPS protections to roughly 600,000 Venezuelans living in the U.S. before taking a similar move for some 520,000 Haitians.
And people were quick to comment on this new fail.
