Business Secretary Grant Shapps has finally apologised after “inadvertently” airbrushing former PM Boris Johnson out of a photo.
It comes as “Shapps ludicrously claimed his Sacking Nurses Bill has the international seal of approval. But the ILO and US Labour Secretary beg to differ,” according to Angela Rayner.
The head of the UN’s agency for workers’ rights has denied that the organisation backs the UK’s tough new strike laws, reports the BBC.
UK ministers had repeatedly suggested the International Labour Organisation (ILO) supported government plans to enforce “minimum service levels” during public sector strikes.
This reply is amazing, and you will see why below.

The picture went viral on social media Virgin Orbit aircraft in Cornwall back in June 2022.
The flight since took off and failed.
In the now-deleted tweet, Shapps wrote: “The UK Govt is delighted to be backing the FIRST ever satellite launch on European soil. Lift-off scheduled on Monday at Spaceport Cornwall, Newquay.”
Here it is though!
Now, Shapps has spoken about the embarrassing incident by jokingly claiming that he told his team to ‘hairbrush’ Johnson, not ‘airbrush’.
