Like a sh*t Terminator Liz Truss is back. She announced yesterday, in the Sunday Telegraph, that she was ‘brought down by the left-wing economic establishment.’
She claimed she was never given a “realistic chance” to implement her radical tax-cutting agenda by her party and by a “powerful economic establishment … that had shifted left-wards”
Her ‘comeback; has been trashed by a LOT of people including Professor Danny Blanchflower who was previously on the Bank of England’s monetary policy committee.
He said the article was the “most appalling nonsense I’ve ever read” and rubbished her claim nobody warned her the economy would suffer under her plans.”
He also said: “My main conclusion from this is that it is important that Truss is never allowed to hold any sort of job that has to do with economics or thinking.”
Looks like the IEA blocked him for calling out the ideas that come out of 55 Tufton Street.
