Yesterday Robin van Persie has backed Arsenal to win the Premier League title – insisting he would be “happy for them to win it”.
Van Persie, who left the Gunners for Manchester United was asked for his opinion after appearing in a legend’s game.
But it is another Arsenal legend today who couldn’t help but heap praise on Bukao Saka.
Kolo Toure’s advice was to sign the youngster up for TEN years.
After his season for Arsenal and for England it is hard to argue with him.
This says a LOT!
Here is what Toure had to say…
Sports Journalist Fabrizio Romano wrote: “Arsenal star Bukayo Saka will sign his new contract very soon, no changes in the plan as verbal agreement is in place since February.
“#AFC Three clubs [two from England and one from abroad] were monitoring Saka’s contract situation since long time but no way: he’s staying.”
Paul Merson also said of Saka: “Paul Merson on Bukayo Saka: “He’s not the player that gets a hat-trick against a side bottom of the league or he’s not grabbing the seventh goal in a 7-0 win. At Arsenal, he’s getting the first goal, the equaliser or the winner. He’s getting assists at crucial moments.”
Better than Salah?!
But what does Touren think about Arsenal winning the league?
He said: ““They have the experience and Arsenal have to be really careful. They have to really make sure they don’t [fall] asleep. This Man City will give everything until the last game.”
