There have been rumours spreading around social media that French trickster Allan Saint-Maximin could be leaving Newcastle United, with Spurs the likely place for his new club.
It was also said Spurs would be very keen to bring him in.
“If Newcastle do decide to put Saint-Maximin up for sale this month, one club who could register an interest in him is Tottenham. Spurs’ director of football Fabio Paratici is a “big fan” of the winger.”
Sky Sports Keith Downie followed it up to clarify that this wasn’t the case.
He tweeted: “Guys, chill – the headline is misleading here. It was a while ago I believe i was asked about it, and only said that it’s possible ASM could leave if a big offer came in. But I’m not sure that’s a huge surprise.”
Now Eddie Howe has come out and said he remains an ‘integral part’ of his plans.
Bruno Guimaraes
There is some good news on Brazilian midfield star Bruno Guimaraes as he looked to suffer an awful in jury against Fulham.
It seems the problem is not as bad as first thought.
He tweeted: “Faith moves mountains! I’ll be ready faster than ever.”
Ramsdale
Returning to Spurs, and a shocking moment after Arsenal beat their North London rivals.
Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was kicked by a Spurs fan, who at time of writing has still not been arrested.
It was a shocking moment but the perpetrator has been lampooned on-line.
He was compared to Jay from The Inbetweeners: “”Can’t go down Spurs no more. Banned aren’t I. Last time I was there for the North London Derby I ended up having a straightener with Aaron Ramsdale. Took his head clean off with a roundhouse kick.”
