Newcastle United
Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag has made the decision not to speak with reporters ahead of their Carabao Cup clash with Newcastle United.
The two sides meet head at Old Trafford tonight in the last 16, in a repeat of last years Carabao Cup Final, reports The Evening Chronicle.
Unlike in the Premier League, managers or head coaches are not obliged to speak with the press before Carabao Cup fixtures.
Eddie Howe
Newcastle are taking 7,300 fans to Manchester United, as away clubs can claim 10% of the capacity in EFL competitions.
Howe told Chronicle Live: “Our supporters do that (make it like a home game) incredibly well. Even when we’re down on numbers in a sense of big home crowds, our supporters still make noise like no other away crowd.
“If our supporters make that environment then we will try to stimulate them and give them reason to get into the game. Obviously that expectation always falls on us.”
