Marcus Rashford has been slammed for celebrating his birthday after the derby day defeat.
At the same time Manchester United Erik ten Hag is not happy…at all, about everything it seems.
Marcus Rashford slammed
According to the Daily Mail, the 3-0 derby day loss didn’t alter Rashford’s plans for a night out.
The striker was spotted celebrating his 26th birthday at Chinawhite, a prominent Manchester nightclub known for its celebrity clientele.
How has Marcus Rashford done for his club?
As statman Dave tweeted: “Marcus Rashford turns 26 years old today. His Manchester United career so far by numbers:
🏟️ 372 games
⚽ 124 goals
🅰️ 58 assists
🏆 5 trophies
“Born to play in Red and White.”
Do you agree?
Ten Hag
The Dutchman defended his decision to leave Varane out for Sunday’s defeat, and when he was asked again he snapped back.
“I said it from the start I just explained it, the question of why. Do you want me to explain it again?” Ten Hag said during the press conference.
“When you face City, they will go up to press and then to play with Rafa and Maguire on the left that can give problems and then you end up kicking long balls. He is better on the right Harry, especially against teams pressing high and then you have to step in on the left, especially against Alvarez.”
Silence
Manchester United players were ordered by the manager to sit in silence and listen to Manchester City celebrate following their defeat in the derby.
The Sun reports that United players were ordered to sit in silence and listen to City’s celebrations from across the tunnel at Old Trafford.
The Red Devil stars could also hear the away fans, who were still inside the stadium and making their presence known by singing loudly, as you would after beating your rivals in their own ground.
Richard Keys wrote in his blog : “Clearly the job is too big for Ten Hag. Clearly he’s lost his players. Clearly his ‘game plans’ are nonsense. Does he really believe that Utd were ‘toe to toe’ with City in the first-half? Clearly he’s deluded if he does.
“That was City’s easiest three points of the season. Brighton made them work harder. And Wolves. Even Sheffield United gave them more of a run for their money.”
Wenger
Speaking to beIN Sports, Wenger said: ‘In the end, for such a big club you felt sorry for United because there’s no hope in the team.
‘I don’t see where they can improve. This team have lost confidence, quality and even spirit. I would say it was not a great fighting spirit from United, on top of that.
‘I believe where United suffers a lot, first of all, is about the quality — the individual quality of the players.’
